Leadership Team

Alecia Cyprian, Ph.D. joined Southeast Community Health Systems as its chief executive officer in 2014. Since her appointment, Cyprian has provided strategic direction for the non-profit healthcare organization in communities of high need in four Southeast Louisiana parishes. She thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the organization’s reach. Cyprian is a board of director and serves as board chair of the Louisiana Primary Care Association, a board member for the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Committee for Petra College and National Association of Community Health Centers Legislative Committee & Health Center Excellence and Training Co-Chair. Prior to joining Southeast, she worked in higher education for 18 years as a director, dean, and assistant vice president providing oversight of enrollment management and student finance in addition to having principal roles in ensuring state and federal program compliance. Cyprian earned a master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Administration from the University of New Orleans.
